The Midway Drive In was located about four miles above Forsyth on Highway 41. Opened in early 1951, it stayed in business until the mid 1960s. Nat Hardin owned the property; the Renfroe Watson family ran the business, with members of the Watson family working there, taking tickets, changing floodlights, manning the projector or pushing the refreshment cart.
